About Us: Philosophy and Culture

A customer first commitment

In 1995 Magain Real Estate made a very public and visible commitment to its past and future clients when a huge twenty foot crane towered over its Marion Road office and lowered a ten tonne bluestone boulder to symbolise the company's commitment and accountability to all of its clients.

When asked about this unique approach, the principal of the company, Barrie Magain, said "As a company, we have an absolute commitment to every one of our clients. Our perception is that the public are tired of worthless guarantees and advertising hype. They expect a guarantee to be in writing, transparent and measurable. The Magain guarantee is unique because it is linked directly to our agency agreement If we do not honour our guarantee absolutely, the vendor is empowered to walk away from the agency, it's that simple.

And to the question "Why go to so much trouble?" Barrie Magain's answer was clear and concise. "I want every customer and more importantly every Magain Real Estate team member who drives or walks past our building, to see and feel our commitment to our clients. The brass plaque on the rock is a very visible and public declaration of the company's culture philosophy and commitment to outstanding service."

Barrie said "The Sold By Magain Again name had become synonymous with activity and integrity and this further commitment was just a further measurable statement sitting alongside the Magain Real Estate Service Warranty ...we feel our clients deserve nothing less".
